I chose the lesson “if we seek progress, empower women”. The author’s description on this particular topic is rather personal. He sort of reels in pain as he witnesses the same scene of women struggling day in day out. He also claims that the society which subjugates its women degrades at a rapid rate. He supports his statement by saying that we as an forward thinking country have not been able to elect a female president yet. Women are as much important for the society as men but they are treated as if they mean nothing. A society that has no respect for women is bound to fail.
